Description:

VG40 bitumen is utilized in areas where significant traffic loads create high pressure, such as intersections, near toll booths, and truck parking lots.

Because of its high viscosity, this bitumen is better suited to enhancing resistance to pushing and other issues linked with greater temperatures and strong traffic loads. Industries have traditionally used VG40 instead of penetration grade bitumen 40/50.

Applications:

It is ideal for temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius.
It has an absolute viscosity of 3200.
When a high traffic load is forecast, this type of bitumen is preferable.
